2019 Annual BBQ Event ANNOUNCEMENT: The annual Somali Community BBQ Event is coming up on the long weekend of Saturday June 29th 2019 at Waterloo Park from 12:00 PM - 8:00


Somali Language School for KG - Grade 12 students is now open every Sataurday from 9:00AM-To-11:30AM. Location is Forest Heights Collegiate Institute (255 Fischer-Hallman Road Kitchener).

The Coalition of Muslim Women of KW invites you to mark your calendars for this ground-breaking event, swiss replica watches featuring the very best of Muslim female entertainment from this continent!
Once again, the Coalition will be reaching out in friendship to the larger community by building bridges through entertainment.

The halal entertainment line-up of this Tapestry event includes the following Muslim artists from Canada and the United States:

* Actress and playwright Rohina Malik who will perform her acclaimed one-woman play, "Unveiled"
* Stand-up comedienne Sana Saeed who will delight us with her comedy

* Award-winning author & storyteller Rukhsana Khan who will present spellbinding tales for adults

* Spoken word artists Amal Albaz, Nasteexo Muse and Zainab Mahdi, all teenagers who are ready to take on the world with their poetry!


We invite you to:

* Experience henna "first hand" by having henna applied to your hands, arms or legs by henna artists Bushra Arshad and Bareera Sial.

* Explore the art of calligraphy by viewing the work of talented local calligraphers Medea Rasheed and Rakhshinda Khan, and have your name written in Arabic calligraphy.

* View the fine art exhibited by Muslim painters Laila Shouckry and Rouaida Almadmani.

* Sample delicious food from around the world for sale by our creative food vendors.

This entire event is being organized by dedicated local Muslim women volunteers who warmly welcome you to spend an enjoyable afternoon in their company!
